COMMENTARY+ COLLAGE
For project 3, we were tasked with creating several collages based off of a current political or social issue of our choice. for my collages, I chose to base mine on the social effects of our prolonged use of technology. specifically the over saturation of information available to us, which makes it hard to decipher facts from fiction, and creates this constant "noise" of content radiating from our devices.
both of my collages were done by hand, and then scanned into photoshop and edited before printing them at a full 24 x 36 scale. I also created an alternate mockup of each one to expand further on my initial ideas. my intention was to create the feelin gof stress and agitation I get after prolonged wok on the computer.
the second collage is more a take on the over saturation of information available on the internet: what sites believe will cause the most interaction often just meaningless tabloid garbage meant to distract you from more important issues. i emphasized this by mainly using pieces from tabloids for the second collage.
